Living headcanon
Food, living situations, relationships at home, etc.
- Even though it seems like they live in a small hut and are all crammed in, their home isn't actually too bad compared to what it could have been. Sure it's not as big as the other homes on Outset, but it's comfy and Link loves it to bits.
- There's only two beds in their home if you check it out: one near the floor and another high up. Aryll and Grandma share the one near the floor, while Link takes the high bed. Not because he wants to, mind you, but because he knows Grandma is too old for something like that, and Aryll is too young; either of them could get hurt falling out of it. Speaking of falling out of it - Link moves around a bit in his sleep, so he tends to fall out of bed at least twice a week. Grandma and Aryll are used to it so they just sleep through it.
- Before going on his travels, Link enjoyed eating veggies, fruit, fish, and some other meats; but after killing so many things and eventually stabbing a man through the forehead, meat makes him feel ill, and he prefers not to eat it, aside from white meat fish and shellfish. He's never eaten poultry of any kind, and so poultry would make him sick. Sweets were rare on Outset island, so he can't eat much without getting an upset stomach for a while - kind of like eating a cake that's too rich.
- He loves naps. Always and forever a Link.
- His sister always will be his best friend, forever; he loves the little girl to bits, just like everything else. Aryll knows the most about Link, and he tells her all of his secrets. Even if she can get annoying sometimes. Link has to take care of her a lot, since Grandma's getting too old, but he's okay with that; she's a good girl and easy to take care of.
- Because Link was homeschooled until this age, he only knows the very basics: addition and subtraction, spelling, reading, things like that. And he's not very good at most of it, unfortunately - most notably spelling.
Combat Headcanon
Bumps, bruises, and fighting.
- Link shows definite signs of having his nose broke multiple times; it's a little pushed up compared to normal, and the bridge is set oddly and kind of thick. It gives him a cute button-nosey look, but it came with a price. B(
- He has small scars all about his hands, due to fighting with a sword without gloves for protection. The pinky-sides of his hands have more, since they're not protected by the hilt of his items.
