BODY & APPEARANCE. ⒈ Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy? He's very short for his age - somewhere in the three foot range - and he's kind of stocky. Not fat, just... stocky. A small bit of baby fat still hanging around in his tummy and all that, makes him squishy to hug. ⒉ How old is he? Nine. ⒊ Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch? He stands straight normally, but settles onto one side of his hips when talking to others. When fighting, he haunches down into a stance. ⒋ How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? He's fit enough, and there's no illnesses or disabilities to speak of. ⒌ How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? His movements tend to be fluid, but a little sporadic; he's more prone to doing quick, thrusting jabs rathering than actually fluidly swinging his sword, for example. ⒍ How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror? He's adorable. He doesn't think so, of course; looks wise, he can be very modest. ⒎ Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? He's rather fair in complexion, but not pasty or "angelicly" so. He does enjoy sunbathing or taking a nap outside, after all. ⒏ Describe his hair: color, texture, style. A bright blonde color, and it's thick and bouncy; it hangs in his face and is messed up like he always has bed head, but in a cute way. ⒐ What color are his eyes? A dark, emerald green. ⒑ Does the character have any other noteworthy features? Pointed ears and a very short stature. ⒒ What are his chief tension centers? Neck and mid back; where he holds his sheath and shield. ⒓ What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit? Other than the classic tunic, he prefers shorts and capris, sandals, and quarter sleeve shirts. He'll wear other clothing, but prefers clothes he can move around in. Bright colors, definitely, and it doesn't have to match. ⒔ Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them? They fit rather well; they're not tight, but they're not baggy either. ⒕ Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences? Yep. Tunic, always. ⒖ You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando? Briefs would probably be more comfortable, but I see him preferring boxers. Probably have cute shellfish designs on them. SPEECH. ⒈What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? It's high pitched and almost girly sounding; definitely adds to his cute appearance. ⒉ How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate? While he doesn't talk all too much, he normally has a kind of loud voice, and he only hesitates when he has to think of what to say. ⒊ Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Not much, no. Though, compared to the other Hylians, he speaks a lot less formal. ⒋ What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency? Dunno! Whatever they speak on the Great Sea. ⒌ Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations? Nope. ⒍ Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words? He's pretty good at speaking on the go, yeah. ⒎ Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? He speaks like a little kid usually, though he will serious up if he has to. MENTAL & EMOTIONAL. ⒈ How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart? He's not a brainy individual at all; all of his intelligence goes towards memory and fighting. ⒉ Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate? He's good at thinking on his feet. ⒊ Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Intuitive; he actually does things before thinking. ⒋ What kind of education has the character had? His Grandma probably homeschooled him, up to this point. ⒌ What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about? Music and combat, I'm guessing; considering he can pick up everything and use it off the bat. ⒍ Is he an introvert or an extrovert? A bit of an extrovert. While he doesn't like talking too much, he does like talking to and being around others. ⒎ Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? He's normally a neutral little kid, neither smiling nor frowning naturally. His mood can swing, yes, but it's never too drastic unless something drastic happened. ⒐ Is he more likely to act, or to react? Depends? ⒑ Which is his default: fight or flight? Fight, definitely. ⒒ Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? He only really likes jokes if they're in good taste. ⒓ Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them? Nope, as far as we know. ⒔ What moments in this character's life have defined his as a person? A lot. Dooon't feel like listing them. ⒕ What does he fear? Losing, and probably drowning - despite being a good swimmer. ⒖ What are his hopes or aspirations? At this point, he wants to travel with Tetra until they find a new place to start a land of peace. ⒗ What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him? He really has nothing to hide; he's very straitforward. RELATIONSHIPS. ⒈ Describe this character's relationship with his parents. I have headcanon that he loved his parents, wherever they went. Perhaps they've died, and he's left with his Grandma and Aryll; but Aryll doesn't seem to be too much younger than Link, so it's doubtful that he didn't know them. ⒉ Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? His little sister, Aryll! She can get on his nerves, but he loves her to bits. She's his best friend. ⒊ Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand? Just his Grandma, and he thinks she's the sweetest old woman in the world. She's very important to him. ⒋ Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them? Tetra, Medli, and Makar are very close to him in that regard. Tetra's like an older, pushy sister, Medli is sweet and shy, and Makar reminds him a little bit of himself. ⒌ Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Aryll, actually; people can argue that Tetra's his best friend, but he's known Aryll longer, and she knows him better than anyone. You can be your sibling's best friend, trust me. ⒍ Does he have other close friends? A few, yes. Not close friends, but friends nonetheless. ⒎ Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people? As long as they're a good person, he has no difficulty befriending anyone. ⒏ Which does he consider more important: family or friends? Both. 8( Everyone is important to him. ⒐ Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once? Dude, he probably still thinks dating is icky. ⒑ Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? See: 9. ⒒ Who was his first crush? Who is his latest? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale? He's only nine, guys. He doesn't know yet, and probably won't for another six more years. ⒗ How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him? Icky. ⒘ What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? Icky. BELIEFS. ⒈ Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type? I don't know when his birthday is. 8( ⒉ Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life? He believes in the gods and goddesses that his Grandma does, but they're not too important to him. ⒊ Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? He goes by his own set of little rules, and he would never break them. Bend, maybe, but never break. ⒋ How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? He's very curious! He loves listening to stories, and this is the same thing to him. ⒌ What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them? He holds no prejudices. Unless you're scary looking. If you're scary looking, he'll be wary. DAILY LIFE. ⒈ What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? He's techinically loaded. ⒉ What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected his? He's a HERO. ⒊ Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others? A cute little hut with his Grandma and Aryll. They keep it clean, and it's nice and well loved. ⒋ Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on? Potions and cool stuff. ⒌ What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else? He doesn't really do anything for a living. He just kind of. Finds money. ⒍ What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time? He likes sparring and practicing with his sword, and probably enjoys doodling on the side. He also likes hanging out with his friends, of course, and would like to learn how to cook. ⒎ What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? He's the kind of person who loves to gorge himself. If you can bribe him with food, do it. A nice, warm, pot of soup is enough to get him to do anything. ASSOCIATIONS. Ⅰ Color?
